The Indiana Historical Society (web site redesign)

The Indiana Historical Society logo

What began as a simple redesign assignment for my Web Usability module at IUPUI, ultimately ended as a redesign work that the Indiana Historical Society (IHS) decided to acquire for the near future.

Although this project was meant to be a simple redesign assingment, it occured at the time when the IHS was looking looking for a new look for their site. Gladly, our project went farther away beyond the module's grade.

The IHS's current site had a number of issues with their overal look and feel and information architecture. We decided to focus our redesign efforts on the structure and colour scheme of the site's main menu. We also fitted some of the current pages to the new site map, developed as apart of the project.

The redesigned web site can be seen here. Most of the links on the main menu will not work, for this is only the final prototype delivered to the IHS.

Other resources available here include the slide show made for this project, as well as the redesigned information architecture of the site in PDF format.
